Skatepark at Travers Park

In 2005, a section of the Travers Park parking lot was removed and the City of Sandpoint Concrete Lake Skatepark was built in its place by Dreamland Skateparks. Once Dreamland had finished, the City landscaped and volunteers painted the concrete for the grand opening. In 2021, Dreamland was hired to return to Sandpoint and repair the existing skatepark. Repairs were funded by the City and community donations. Also in 2021, the City began exploring expansion of the skatepark that would include all-wheeled features for users of all abilities. In 2024 Dreamland was hired again to build the phase 2 expansion. Phase 2 was funded by the City and community donations, particularly $52K from donations raised by the Bonner County Skatepark Association.
