What can you tell me about building an accessory dwelling unit (ADU)?
Accessory buildings, except as otherwise permitted in Sandpoint City Code, Title 9, ‘Zoning,’ shall be subject to the following regulations:

Where an accessory building is structurally attached to a main building, it shall be subject and must conform to all regulations of Title 9 applicable to the main building.

An accessory building may not be located nearer than five feet (5’) to an interior lot line and not nearer than five feet (5’) to the rear lot line.

An accessory building shall not be erected prior to the establishment or construction of the principal use of a building.

No house trailer shall occupy any lot or part of a lot in any residential zone, except in such areas thereof as may be designated for trailer courts and as provided in section 9-3-3 of Title 9.
