Trail users should expect temporary closures of the Pend d’Oreille Bay Trail as construction begins on a waterfront improvement project. Work includes cleanup of contaminated soils from the former smelter site.
Construction will require periodic trail closures to ensure public safety while work is underway. Beginning April 7, users should be prepared for intermittent closures of the Bay Trail. Construction is anticipated to last through August.
