Construction Ahead - Bridge St at First Ave

The City of Sandpoint will begin construction activities at the intersection of Bridge Street and First Avenue starting the week of April 20. This work is part of ongoing efforts to improve pedestrian safety, accessibility, and overall corridor functionality in the downtown area.

Schedule

• Week of April 20 through Week of April 27: Sidewalk widening begins
• Week of May 4: Paving operations begin

Work is expected to continue through May 8, weather and construction conditions permitting.

Traffic Impacts

• The intersection of Bridge Street and First Avenue will remain open; however, traffic will be controlled by flaggers during active construction
• Motorists should expect delays, reduced speeds, and intermittent lane closures
• Pedestrian routes will be maintained on the south side of Bridge St
