News Release Date
04-28-2026
The City will begin city-wide pavement striping on May 5th and 6th to refresh lane lines. This work is essential for nighttime visibility and driver safety.
Scheduled Dates: Tuesday, May 5 & Wednesday, May 6
Work Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Weather Permitting)
How You Can Help:
- Give a Little Space: Our crews move slowly to ensure the lines are straight and clean. Please stay back about 50 feet from the equipment—it keeps you safe and prevents paint from splashing your car.
- Watch for "Wet Paint": We use fast-drying paint, but it needs a few minutes! Please avoid driving over fresh lines to keep your car’s wheel wells clean and our new lines crisp.
- Plan Ahead: You might run into some minor "rolling" delays as the trucks move through town. Thank you for your patience while we work!
Safety Reminders:
- Watch for flaggers and moving convoys.
- Avoid parking on main thoroughfares during work hours where "No Parking" signs are posted.
We appreciate your patience as we work to keep our city streets safe and visible.
