The City of Sandpoint is seeking original artwork for its Summer Street Banner Program. 

The project is open to all artists residing in the United States regardless of race, color, religion, gender, including minors, with parental or guardian written consent required for participants under 18 years of age. Local and Regional artists may be given selection preference. Selection panelists and their immediate family members are not eligible for participation.

Project Scope:

The selected artwork will be reproduced on 16-inch by 30-inch banners and installed seasonally on approximately 50 lamp posts throughout downtown Sandpoint.

Artwork should reflect the theme “Summer in Sandpoint” and capture the character, beauty, and energy of the community during the summer season.

Design will be selected by jury process, and the selected artist will receive a $250 stipend for the use of their artwork in the banner program.

 

Submission Deadline: Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. PST.

Submissions can be emailed to cityclerk [at] sandpointidaho.gov (cityclerk[at]sandpointidaho[dot]gov) OR delivered to City Hall, 1123 Lake Street, Sandpoint, ID 83864. Submissions that are delivered must include one hard copy and a flash drive.

All questions regarding this RFP must be submitted only in writing via email to Solicitations at solicitations [at] sandpointidaho.gov (solicitations[at]sandpointidaho[dot]gov). All questions must be submitted by 2:00:00 PM Pacific Time on Thursday, May 28, 2026, to provide/post a timely response for the benefit of all potential responders.
