Association of Idaho Cities (2017-Present):

Since 2017, Mayor Rognstad serves as Board Member representing District One which includes the five northern counties of Idaho: Boundary, Bonner, Kootenai, Benewah and Shoshone Counties.  AIC promotes excellence in governance, leadership, and services to citizens.  It provides.  It was founded in 1947 and is a nonpartisan, nonprofit corporation, owned, organized, and operated by Idaho’s city governments. AIC provides services that individual cities might not be able to afford on their own.

Bonner Regional Team (2017-Present):

Mayor Rognstad co-founded the Bonner Regional Team in 2017 and serves as Sandpoint’s representative for the multi-jursidictional committee that identifies current and emerging issues in the region and recommends actions to local entities.

Trailmix Steering Committee (2014-2016, 2018-Present):

Mayor Rognstad was a founding member of the Trailmix Committee in 2014 and currently serves on the Steering Committee.  Trailmix is a committee comprised of many jurisdictions, NGOs as well as state and federal agencies that seek to build capacity and infrastructure for trails and connectivity throughout the Bonner County region.

Selkirks Pend Oreille Transit (2016-2018):

Under the Mayor’s leadership, the service network expanded service to include two neighboring counties and added a corporate sponsored workforce shuttle service.  It also partnered with Schweitzer Mountain Resort to offer daily shuttle service to the resort and special event shuttle service for Festival at Sandpoint and other special events.  The Mayor also oversaw a rebranding and marketing campaign for SPOT.
