The City of Sandpoint provides utilities (water, sewer & sanitation services) to residents within the city limits, as well as the ACI (Area of City Impact). (Water only services are provided in the areas of Kootenai and Ponderay.)

Utility bills are created and mailed the first working day of each month and are due immediately upon receipt. Bills are considered late and a fee of $15.00 will be assessed to an account if not paid in full by the 25th of each month. Failure to receive a utility bill does not waive past due fees. A past due (shut-off) notice will be mailed to you and/or your landlord on the working day following the 25th. By request you can opt to receive your statement by email instead of paper. This is done by setting up an online account after you receive your first billing.

Reduced billing for eligible Senior Citizens:

The City of Sandpoint also offers utility discounts to eligible seniors. Eligible seniors living inside the Sandpoint city limits may qualify for a 40% discount on their monthly utility rates through the Senior Citizens Reduced Utility Bill (SCRUB) Program.
