Notice is hereby given by the City of Sandpoint, Idaho, that the following described timber will be offered for sale by sealed bid to the highest bidder.  Bids must be received at the City of Sandpoint, Public Works Department, 1123 Lake Street, Sandpoint, Idaho, 83864 by Friday, September 2, 2016 at 2:00 pm

Sale Location: Portion of SW ¼ of Section 7 North of Baldy Road, T57N, R2W, B.M.

State of Idaho slash holdback fee of $4.00/MBF will be paid by the purchaser.

A bid bond of $4,000.00 in the form of a certified check, cashier’s check or bank money order must be enclosed in the sealed bid.  This security shall be forfeited to the City of Sandpoint, Idaho, as liquidated damages should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract in accordance with their bid by September 16, 2016.  Bid bonds will be returned to the unsuccessful bidders.  The successful bidder will be required to post a total performance bond of $8,000.00 at contract execution.

The successful bidder must show evidence of adequate liability and worker’s compensation insurance.

This timber sale will expire January 20, 2017

The City of Sandpoint reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities in the bids received, and to accept the proposal deemed most advantageous to the best interests of the City.
